3-Days of the skillsets needed to build an Individual Protective System. This course will cover all aspects of a comprehensive system. We will start with helping you create a Protective Mindset and understanding the application of Awareness to determine potential threats while giving you verbal skills to avoid a confrontation. If confrontation can not be avoided pre-emptive and rudimentary combative skills will be taught to extricate you from the situation or create the opportunity to access a less-than-lethal or lethal weapon. Less-than-lethal options will be covered and integrated, moving to the use of your Everyday Carry (EDC) pistol and its application. Injuries may be incurred during a lethal force encounter, because of this a module on medical interventions for the Armed Citizen will be covered during this course. Taking into consideration the amount of time that individuals spend in their vehicle and in the home, there will be modules on Vehicle Tactics and Defense and Home Protection Strategies. All modules will be trained in micro-drills to learn new skills, applied in drills with realistic context, and pressure tested in scenario-based evolutions.

This is a fast-paced course designed to give you an understanding of the elements needed to develop a comprehensive Individual Protective System. You will leave this course with a firm understanding and the ability to practice these new skills, while being better prepared to protect yourself and the those that you care about.

Prerequisite: This is not a novice course. Safe gun handling and the ability to access a pistol from a concealed holster are required. This is a moderately physically demanding course. Physical limitations and all fitness levels are appropriate, we are mentoring to build your Individual Protective System around you and your uniqueness.
